I live with my wife and two cats in upstate New York where the winters are long, and often dark and gloomy. I find it a good place to write preternatural stories. There's nothing I like more than sitting down with a glass of wine and swapping ghost stories with friends.

That said, I have seen the wraiths in the mist, the Mohawks in the woods, shadows that move of their own volition, and yes, I’ve heard the knocking on the walls.
